Q: How will I know if my specific insurance plan will cover sessions?

To verify your insurance benefits for nutrition counseling, please call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask them the following questions:

1. Do my benefits include nutritional counseling, specifically do you cover CPT codes 97802 or 97803? If not, what are my out-of-network nutrition benefits?

2. Are there any exclusions or limitations (such as limit to number of visits)?

3. Do I have a deductible to meet before insurance covers? If so, how much have I met so far?

4. Am I responsible for any copay or coinsurance for the visit?

5. Is a doctor’s referral required?Keep a record of the call, including the date, and ask for a reference number for the call.

You are welcome to use your HSA or FSA account for payments. Private pay available upon request.

Q: What can I expect with seeing a dietitian?

Initial assessments typically last 60 minutes, and follow-up appointments are usually 45-50 minutes. During each appointment, I will meet you where you are, offering knowledge, support, and encouragement. By breaking your journey into practical, attainable steps, you'll gain the confidence to enhance your relationship with food, nourish your body intuitively, and discover a sustainable way forward.

Q: How often will we meet?

It depends on your needs and preferences. For some conditions weekly visits can be crucial. For other issues, a few visits may suffice. After the assessment, we will discuss what is both beneficial and realistic, taking into account their specific circumstances and goals.

Q. Where are you located?

I am currently only offering telehealth visits.
